QuickBooks run slowly in multi-user mode
When operating with QuickBooks Desktop over the web or with a large company file, you may encounter certain types of performance problems relating to slowness, taking a lengthy time to open, or other related behavior. Solution 1 – Build a backup file to reset the .TLG file and resource lists.
Building an original backup file can assist improve performance in QuickBooks because it resets the .TLG file (transaction log file) used to pursue changes to the company file before they transcribed to the database.
Solution 2 – Decrease Company File Bits and perform Disk Defragmentation.
Although your company file is limited to the desktop (from solution 1), create and rebuild a compressed file.
Note: Building/Restoring a compressed file will help to decrease file bits in the company file, which may contribute to improving performance.
After building/restoring a compressed file, perform a disk defragmentation (if your case has established a system, go to the server PC).
Check if Your Computer is operating Solid State Drive (SSD).
For Windows 10
a.) Choose the Start button and select All Programs, then choose
Accessories > Systems Tools > Disk Defragmenter.
b.) Select the defragment option, and follow the guidance that appears on the screen to defragment your hard-drive.
